BookIllustrationAI
Character coloring book generator, same cast on every page
Describe your characters once. Every page of the book draws the same faces, outfits and props, and story books run scene by scene from the first page to the last. Exported as a KDP-ready interior PDF.
- Up to 8 recurring characters per book
- Story pages laid out in order
- Interior PDF with bleed and backing pages

How the same characters reach every page
An image model forgets everything between pages, which is why most AI coloring books change their main character halfway through. Here the characters are written down once, as a cast sheet, and every page in the book is drawn from that sheet.
- Name
- A short name the page prompts use to say who is in each scene.
- Role
- Who they are ("the grandmother", "the youngest brother"), never what they are doing, because the role is restated on every page.
- Appearance, in shapes only
- Hair shape, clothing outline, headwear, footwear, a signature accessory, height and build. Never a color: this is line art, so shape is the only thing that can stay the same.
Shape is what survives into black and white line art, so shape is what the sheet locks. Fine markings that only color would show, like spots or patterned fur, are the hardest detail to hold. If a page drifts, replace it and it is redrawn from the same sheet.

Story coloring books, scene by scene
When your brief tells a story, it is planned as a sequence of beats before any page is drawn: the start, the adventure, the ending. Pages are spread across those beats in order, so the book reads front to back like a picture book that happens to be colored in.
Adding pages
New pages slot in before the final stretch of the story, so the ending stays the ending however long the book gets.
Replacing one page
Replacing a page redraws that page's own moment of the story with the same cast, without touching the pages around it.
How to describe your characters
You write the brief the way you would describe the book to a friend. These four habits give the cast sheet what it needs.
- Name each character and say who they are: "Grammy, 60, and her granddaughter Lily, 6".
- Describe what never changes: hair shape and length, glasses, a hat, a backpack.
- Make each character different in outline: a different height, build or headwear, so they read apart without color.
- Name the recurring places and objects too (a treehouse, a stuffed toy, a magic door) so they look the same on every page they appear on.
Line weight and detail level still come from the style you pick, so a toddler story and an adult fantasy series both work. Browse the coloring book styles, or read how the AI coloring page generator gets every page print-ready for KDP.

Frequently asked questions
- Can AI keep the same character on every page of a coloring book?
- Yes, if the character is written down. An image model has no memory between pages, so BookIllustrationAI writes a cast sheet from your brief, with each character described by shape, and every page in the book is drawn from that same sheet. Recurring objects and places get a sheet entry too.
- How many characters can one book have?
- Up to 8 recurring characters and up to 6 recurring objects or places per book. Most story books use 1 to 4.
- Can I make a story coloring book where the pages follow a plot?
- Yes. When the brief tells a story, it is planned as a sequence of beats and the pages are spread across them in order, ending with the ending. Pages you add later are placed before the final stretch, and replacing a single page redraws that page's own moment of the story.
- Do my characters carry over into my next book?
- Not yet. A cast belongs to one book. To continue a series, reuse the same character descriptions in the next book's brief.
- What if a book is about a breed or a type of animal, not one character?
- Then it is not a cast. A book of corgis or of farm animals draws a different animal on each page, which is what that buyer wants, so no cast sheet is made for it.
